The CIS Bankers Banquet in White Hall





Between 19th – 21st of June the Bank and Financial Council of CIS with the support of Executive Comittee of CIS has organized the International Bank Conference with participation of CIS: „Increasing the role of national currencies for the export-import operations in CIS countries. Money transfers and payments in CIS countries”.



On Saturday, 20th of June, a Festive Banquet was held in the White Hall of the CODRU VIP Residence.

Presentation of the CODRU White Hall

Last week, on June 11, 2009 the CODRU VIP Residence hosted a reception in the White Hall, where the long-term partners of Hotel CODRU were invited to enjoy a pleasant evening of life Jazz Music, a refined fourchette combined with the good Chateau Vartely wines.





The evening was an opportunity for CODRU Hotel to introduce to the public its new General Manager, Mr. Markus Koller, who came all the way from Austria to bring the best expertise from the Western hotel industry to Chisinau. Taking this opportunity, Mr. Koller announced that the beautiful Conference Halls of the CODRU VIP Residence - The White Hall and the Coral Hall - are now opened for the wide public, for conferences, banquettes, weddings and any special events.





Among the guests of the evening there were representatives of Embassies, Consulates and International Organizations accredited in the Republic of Moldova, as well as Corporate Clients and Media representatives.





Along with the nice atmosphere, the surprise of the evening was a lottery with gifts offered by CODRU and Chateau Vartely. The big prize on behalf of CODRU VIP Residence was one night accommodation in the Presidential apartment.





The feedback from the guests was very positive, they left satisfied of the quality and service they received, along with the promises from the new CODRU Hotel management of continuous work on services improvement to keep our clients happy and satisfied.

Patricia Kaas - CODRU VIP guest!

An absolute opening for Moldova was the first visit of an exceptional French concert performer Patricia Kaas. She was hosted by the CODRU Hotel, where she enjoyed staying in the Presidential Apartment of the CODRU VIP Residence during her visit from 21st to 23rd of May.





Patricia came in Moldova just after several days from the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, where she represented the France. Therefore, after arriving in Chisinau she took a break in her presidential apartment and met, in the same day, with media representatives in the Press-room of the CODRU hotel.





The only concert of Patricia Kaas in Moldova was held on May 22nd in the National Palace and made the public to enjoy every moment. In several hours after the concert finished the artist went to a festive dinner in the White Hall of CODRU VIP Residence, offered by the hotel’s management and attended by such persons as Ambassador of France in Moldova, representatives of French Alliance, the French business of Chisinau and others.





At the end of this short visit Patricia signed in the Book of Honor, mentioning her appreciation of CODRU’s hosting and hospitality, leaving us with unforgettable memories about this trip to our small country.

Hotel CODRU again hosts famous artists – Russian retro stars Nansy, Freestyle and Iurii Satunov – the lead singer of the legendary group Laskovii Mai. Performance took place on 7 May in the National Palace.

At the beginning of the concert the Hotel and the Restaurant CODRU have been announced General partners of the project.

World Bank Vice-president for Europe and Central Asia Mr. Shigeo Katsu during his official visit to Moldova between 26 and 27 June is hosted by the Hotel CODRU. A solemn reception will be held in the Coral hall of Hotel CODRU on the occasion of Mr. Shigeo Katsu visit to Moldova.

Between 24 May and 1st June the International Theatre Festival bitei-2008 took place in Chisinau. 27 theatre performances presented by the participants from 12 countries have been shown on the stages of 5 theatre of Chisinau. Hotel CODRU had the honor to host the famous Russian actresses Lia Ahedjacova and Iulia Rutberg, as well as artists from Japan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain and other countries.

Upon the festival closing, on the 1st of June, the gala reception was organized by the Restaurant CODRU for the participants and guests of the festival.

Hotel CODRU hosted the famous couple Angelica Varum and Leonid Agutin, as well as the famous Russian artist Klara Novikova. Performances took place on 7 and 9 March in the National Palace as a part of the national festival Martisor 2008.

Martisor takes place annually between the 1st and 10th March since 1966. It is one of the most important cultural event in Moldova. This year Martisor joined artists from 15 countries.

Romanian pop-group MORANDI and the singer Ovidiu Comornic have been accommodated at Hotel CODRU on 24 February, they plan to check-out today in the afternoon.

Famous artists are our often guests, we are glad to ensure them with all the confort of home and a good rest in the quiet ambience after the concerts.

Between 31 January and 02 February took place the official visit to Chisinau of the vice-minister of the Foreign Affairs of Ucraine, Constantin Eliseev.

On 04 - 05 February the Minister of the Foreig Affairs of Latvia Maris Riekstins has been visiting our country.

Today on 06 February the Moldavian-Russian Business Forum takes place in the White hall of the Hotel CODRU.

Between 12 - 14 February the general attorney of Hungary will be paying an official visit to Moldova.

Between 30 Novembere and 02 December Hotel CODRU has been hosting actors of the Teatrul de Revista from Bucuresti - Constantin Tanas, Stela Popescu, Alexandru Arsinel, Victor Eftimiu and other famous romanian actors.

The III-rd consequent year Hotel CODRU celebrates the National Wine Day by organizing presentation with tasting and sale of Moldovan wines. Between 12 – 14 October, three local wine companies have been presenting their wines in the hotel’s lobby, among them Milestii Mici, Lion-Gri and Asconi.



On Saturday 13th October all the hotel’s guests were invited to taste from home-made wine and national dishes – placinte and sarmale.

On 13th and 14th October in front of the hotel was presented an exhibition with sale of souvenirs and artworks created skillfully and with love by Moldovan artisans. Guests could view and purchase embroidery, needle laces and floristic works as well.

The purpose of this action was the promotion of the national values, popularization of the traditional art and Moldovan wines to the Hotel’s CODRU guests.

In the period of 19th – 21st of June 2007 Republic of Moldova was visited by the President of Slovak Republic accompanied by the official delegation. The major part of the delegation prefered staying at the Hotel Complex CODRU, among them are: the Minister of Defence, Mr. František KAŠICKÝ,the State Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Relations, the Chief of Presidential Military Office, etc.

Also, on the 20th June 2007 the Moldo-Slovak Business Phorum was organised, where, beside the presidents of Republic of Moldova and Slovak, participated many businessmen from both countries. Hotel Complex „CODRU” offered all the comfort in order to enssure an enjoyable stay to its guests from Slovak Republic.

The Summer Cup „Business League” at football 2007 took place between 26th May – 16th June. The of Hotel Complex „CODRU” team participated for the second time in this competition and managed to reach the finals with the team „Steaua Dental” and won the trophy. We congratulate the participants and their supporters, too, wishing them success and new performances in the future!
